Vinyasa, also called flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga.

A New addition for Thursdays Moon Lodges…

Thursdays are going to be a fusion of Creative Flow Yoga, some of my favourite Dru Postures & Sequences, Mudras and Affirmations put together with some of my favourite music, plus of course a gorgeous Relaxation..
Come along and strengthen your body, calm your mind and nourish your inner Goddess…
No experience neccessary.:)

Yin Yoga.

Find stillness and greater depth by holding poses longer in a Yin Yoga.
On a physical level, Yin enhances the natural range of motion in the joints. By keeping your muscles soft, you release deep layers of connective tissue, creating more ease in any style of yoga and in seated meditation. On an energetic level, Yin enhances the flow of prana (life force) in the tissues around the joints, where energy often stagnates. Sequences are often geared toward strengthening certain energy channels (called nadis in yoga or meridians in Chinese medicine), which ultimately support the organs, immune system, and emotional well-being.

Dru Meditation.

“Once the Moon is made steady…The Sun can be made to Rise”

Meditation is a lifelong process. As you get deeper and more disciplined into the process, you’ll get deeper and more disciplined in your mind and life.

Meditation is one of the solutions to the needs of our time.

Dru Meditation is about finding a still inner point from which you can look at the world in a different way and discover a fresh, new perspective on your life.

Discover your inner stillness

In Dru Mediation you will learn to access a deep inner peace, no matter what challenges you may be facing in life.

We like to define meditation as the perfect balance between alertness and relaxation.

It doesn’t matter if you practice in a chair or sitting cross legged on the floor, it’s all about quietening the mind and stilling the body.

And, most importantly Healing in Relaxation & Deep Rest in Yoga Nidra.

Benefits of Relaxation

The successful practice of Meditation first starts with a deep understanding and mastery of the physical body, which is achieved through awareness of movement and breath, deep relaxation and body contemplation.

An elixir for body, mind & spirit

Relaxation is perhaps the single most important key to health and well-being. It is the antidote to stress which is known to contribute to the development of disease. When we relax, our body has an opportunity to unwind. The benefits of relaxation have been well researched and some of these are listed below.

Relaxation

  • gives the heart a rest by slowing the heart rate
  • reduces blood pressure
  • slows the rate of breathing, which reduces the need for oxygen
  • increases blood flow to the muscles
  • decreases muscle tension

As a result of relaxation, many people experience –

  • more energy
  • better sleep
  • enhanced immunity
  • increased concentration
  • better problem-solving abilities
  • greater efficiency
  • smoother emotions — less anger, crying, anxiety, frustration
  • less headaches and pain

Learn to relax and you will create the perfect space for the mind to become meditative.  Relaxation is the key to Meditation. I encourage you to make relaxation a priority!
